FC ( febrile convulsion ) :
Diet : NPO ( up to 6 h after seizure )
V/S : routine
9. ( if history of seizure ) EEG
10. ( if neurologic deficit : developmental delay ; increased ICP ) : imaging
11. ( if no source of infection ) : BC ( Bacteck )
12. ( if no source of infection & under 1 year ) : LP
13. IV maintainance
14. Acetaminophen : 15 mg / kg q 6 h + ( if severe : Brufen : 5 mg / kg q 6h )
15. Diazepam : 0.2 mg / kg IV Bedside slowly ( or 0.5 mg / kg rectal )
16. Diazepam : 0.3 mg / kg IV up to 6h ( then PO ) q 8h ( if Temp > 38)
17. ( if source of bacterial infection ) : Antibiotics
18. Wet sponge ( at least 30 min after antipyretics )
OPD :
1. Acetaminophen : 15 mg / kg / dose q 4-6h ( if Temp > 38 )
2. Diazepam PO ( SYR 2/5 & Tab 5 ) : 0.3 mg / kg / dose TDS ( if Temp > 38
3. Diazepam supp ( 5 & 10 ) : 0.5 mg / kg ( if seizure )
4. Wet sponge ( if Temp > 38 ) ( at least 30 min after antipyretics
